Challenge
We managed and produced the wild and decadent launch night of The Other House South Kensington, the first of several Residents Clubs to open in London over the coming years. The Other House offers a new concept of hospitality, taking residential letting, mid stays and transient hotel offerings to a new level by embracing slow travel through their luxurious Club Flats. We created an evening full of surprise and grandeur to showcase what The Other House offers, what makes it unique from other clubs or hotels, and created a memorable, immersive experience that would encourage guests to return.
Highlights:
- 900 attendees
- 0 single-use plastic used
- 0 printing or bespoke elements built for the event
Solution
Guests were met with the unexpected around every corner. We projected a sound and light show onto the turquoise pool, created a speakeasy with our pianist surrounded by hundreds of candles, turned the quiet library into a packed bar and curated a tarot card room with a crystal ball of Naomi Heaton – Founder and CEO of The Other House. The four main atriums were dressed for the four seasons. Ice kings and queens were accompanied by a sax player for winter and the cast of the Lion King performed in spring with a stunning indoor waterfall built by our team. Our autumn queen together with a talented violinist dressed in a floor-length gown made of leaves created autumn, and finally a Wimbledon theme for summer with live tennis, an acapella band and human tennis statue. There were five body-painted acrobats throughout the club, each matching and blending into the stunning custom-made wallpapers.
To ensure we produced the event in line with both the client and our values for sustainability, the event used zero single-use plastic with no printing or bespoke built elements. As takeaways, guests were given seed packets to plant at home, and a post-event email letting them know a tree had been planted on behalf of each guest who attended.
Over 900 guests were in attendance, including celebrities and socialites Lady Mary Charteris and Lady Victoria Hervey, Game Of Thrones actress Laura Pradelska and Celebs Go Dating and Made In Chelsea star Sophie Hermann. Other famous names included Elizabeth Day, Diana Vickers, Lady Emily Compton and Astrid Harbord.
