Brief
We were bought on to become an extension of the Founders Forum’s communications and events team. To project manage their annual two day London conference, the biggest of their worldwide events. The events included their main day conference, the evening Gala and Velocity Black sponsored the after-party. At all three we were also tasked with the creative design, the physical build through our production team, plus the technical production at the Gala dinner and Velocity Black whilst managing the main day technical partner.

“Thanks again for everything over the last couple of days, and weeks, and months before that! Was such a success and the feedback was great.”

The Founders Forum team chose the iconic BBC Studioworks as the location for the Gala dinner, the first event, which was hosted the evening prior to the main annual conference. This studio provided us with a blank canvas for the Marble creative production team to build a unique branded space, for the 500 global technology leaders to network and enjoy the dinner curated by Soho House. The transformation put the Founders Forum hexagonal logo at the centre of the Marble produced venue decor. The shape was featured in the impressive LED mapped custom lighting, custom built foliage table centerpieces and bespoke sculptures. The Marble technical team worked closely with the in-house BBC Studioworks team to turn around the arena sized AV build in just 6 hours overnight.
Guests were transported that night to The Grove Hotel, the destination for the annual London conference the following day. Founders Forum branding was placed throughout the hotel reception entrance, across the custom built reception desk and around all pillars in the venue. The day itself included a jam packed agenda of over 100 speakers, including Sir David Attenborough, political leaders and CEOs from some of the leading global companies, such as Gucci, Mastercard, Amazon, the BBC and The Telegraph. The 700 attendees throughout the day not only had the opportunity to network and hear from some of the top leaders in technology, but there was also a “meet the CEO” area and innovation tent; showcasing the latest industry leading interactive technology. Marble’s bespoke built step and repeat structure and Founders Forum sculpture made a second appearance, and the team were also tasked with stage design, building custom structures for the “meet the CEO” pods, and designing the innovation tent.
Minimising unnecessary build materials are always front of mind, and where possible we try to reflect our sustainability values within our custom event builds. The team ensured the custom built CEO pods were easy to assemble and transport, so that Founders Forum are able to take these to their other conferences. That evening the guests were invited to the Velocity Black after-party, within the beautiful walled garden at The Grove. The guests were lead to the outdoor location by a path lit with LED arches and guided by fibre optic lights adorning the surrounding trees. Marble Music artists and DJs provided the entertainment, while guests were left to mingle within the stretch tent with a custom built Marble bar and delicious street food style catering.
Building three separate event spaces over two days was challenging, but incredibly rewarding to see it brought to life. We’re looking forward to trying to top this next year!
