Challenge
For the second year in a row we worked with the firstminute team, producing their biggest annual event of the year: the Limited Partner (LP) Investor’s Day. Consisting of a daytime conference for a few hundred guests travelling from across the globe, followed by an intimate dinner, the purpose of the event is to bring the LPs and the portfolio companies together. firstminute wanted to celebrate their partnership and pay tribute to all of their partners whilst offering a day of talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities. The event encountered unforeseen obstacles, in the form of global virus Covid-19, and needed to be adapted at the last minute.
Solution
We got creative with the firstminute Capital brand when coming up with production ideas and designs for branded assets. We really wanted to make the space fun and eye-catching as well as a professional space for networking, but most importantly, we wanted the 2020 event to be unique despite it being an annual event. We built interactive boards to display portfolio companies, produced branding elements for the space, and designed and printed the firstminute Capital LP brochure, reaching nearly 100 pages (doubled on last year).
Marble and firstminute Capital’s teams were ready to implement the exciting designs we had conceptualised and produced, however the restrictions that came with the quickly developing Covid-19 crisis meant that we sadly had to cancel the main event. With global travel bans and restrictions on social gatherings, firstminute recognised that the original set-up of the event could not go ahead as planned, and instead they bravely decided to put on an intimate dinner instead for the Investors who were able to attend. Faced with a new challenge, the Marble team re-shuffled the format of the event during the limited time that we had and successfully put in place the new event, ensuring the guests still received the best experience and a fantastic evening.
