Marble Music’s ‘Spotlight Series’ will shine a light on one of our incredible artists each month. It will focus on a recent release, giving you some fresh music and an insight into the wide variety of genres on our roster.
Artist Spotlight:
Joe Alexander Shepherd
This month’s Marble Music Artist Spotlight is Joe Shepherd; a hugely talented English composer, pianist and graduate of Paul McCartney’s acclaimed Academy of Music in Liverpool. His contemporary classical works invoke names like Ludovico Einaudi and Michael Nyman but he can play a variety of genres. He has composed and played the music for UEFA’s World War One Truce Soundtrack and recently collaborated with filmmaker Oliver Astrologo to compose the soundtrack for his short film ‘Italia’. The video went viral, reaching over 3.5 million views in just 5 days. It draws on Italian patriotism in the wake of coronavirus, showcasing beautiful Italian landscapes and culture and sending the message that Italians will soon be able to enjoy the beauty of their country again.
